    When Cosmic’s automated point soldering robot system was developed ?
    Basic idea was developed in 1986 and we are always improving our system.

    Has Cosmic’s machine installed to the car companies ?
    Yes, we have experience more than 20 years for installation to the car industry.

    Is it problem to solder with temperature 600 deg C of ceramic soldering tip ?
    No problem. Constitution of solder does not change at temperature 600 deg C. About influence to the parts, soldering is possible without damage because solder amount is fixed. And heat amount transferred to the parts is controlled by the time of millisecond to finish soldering in very short time.

    Why lead-free soldering is possible without nitrogen gas ?
    Because two ceramic heaters enclose soldering point and melt solder immediately, this brings condition which no effect from atmosphere.

    Simply, can compare with soldering iron ?
    Can not.

    What kind of solder can be used ?
    Less than φ1.6mm diameter, bobbin type. It should be resin flux cored solder.

    What is minimum pitch for soldering ?
    For surface mounting parts, 0.6mm pitch is possible. For discrete parts lead and PCB, 0.8mm pitch is possible. It is depending on size of parts and pads.

    At high temperature soldering, will flux be remained ?
    Yes, it will be remained.When flux is melted out from solder, some will be remaind around solder. And others will be atomized for wetting on the parts and PCB.

    Why inside of the through hole and pad in the back of PCB is going to be wetted ?
    Because atomized flux is quickly going through hole when flux touched high temperature soldering tip and it arrives and removes oxide in the back of PCB.

    No, it can not.

    Yes, we just started to export.

    Our recommendation is XY direction : ±0.1mm and Z direction : 0.05mm

    As option item, we have CCD camera type for X-Y direction and Laser displacement meter type for Z (height) direction.

    Ceramic soldering tip with standard shape has a long life-span, lasting over 1 year.
